Recording

Up until 2018, I had not created video projections for my work. I usually worked with others on that aspect of my performance, or used randomly generated visuals.

“TRUTH” is the even more political piece created while preparing for NEEMFest 2018. It was performed there (Homer, NY) and then again in Ithaca and Maryland later that year. I have reservations about performing it again because I’m trying to think more positively, but sometimes the mesmerizing insanity of our world puts me back in the place where I created this.

The piece is different every time because the samples are triggered live. There’s not a 100% match between the video/audio. The images, all public domain, took a while to gather and get right for the mood I was trying to create.

As a second attempt at this sort of material, I was pretty satisfied.
