Short Bio
Based in Bangkok, Sippapas Thienwiwat (b. 2006) is a Thai digital artist and composer working with a wide range of sonic practices, from multichannel audiovisual livecoding to computer-assisted electroacoustic composition and improvisation. As a digital artist, Sippapas navigates audiovisual landscapes under the alter ego "SKYKYS", blending digital art practices often times with livecoding and improvisation to examine and study the relationship of sound and image in all its shapes and forms. His works as a composer-performer investigates electronic sound production and the modification and transformation of its properties through electroacoustic composition, live performance, and sound installations. Sippapas is currently a BASc candidate at the Institute of Music, Science, and Engineering, KMITL, and studies electroacoustic composition privately with Thanapat Ogaslert. Sippapas is part of the Bangkok-based livecoding collective Cornea Cochlear Club. Sippapas is also the president and artist-in-residence of the Thai Electroacoustic Music Society (TEAMS).
