As an integral part of the mission of this organization, the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the U.S. is committed to providing equal opportunities to all members regardless of race, sex, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, disability, marital status, status with regards to public assistance, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or status as a U.S. veteran.
To fulfill this commitment, SEAMUS not only prohibits discrimination in policy and process, but takes affirmative steps to be inclusive in all aspects of organization operations and activities. Black Lives Matter
The Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS) wishes to state its strong support for the Black Lives Matter movement and all who are moved to protest current and historical systemic violence against Black people. Beyond simply professing this commitment, SEAMUS pledges to work with our membership to conduct ongoing critical self-evaluation in order to reform our actions, working toward a future of universal justice, equity, inclusion, and affirmation.
