Short Bio
James Mobberley is an American composer of contemporary concert music, and serves as Curators' Professor of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance. His music spans many media, from orchestra and electro-acoustic music to music for dance, film, and video, and has received over 1300 performances worldwide. Two dozen recordings feature his music, including the Black Canyon, Bridge, Capstone, Centaur, Everglade, and Troppa Note labels, as well as an all-Mobberley recording on the Albany label recorded by the Czech National Symphony.
