SEAMUS 2019 Submission Info

SUBMISSIONS:

SEAMUS membersmay submit one original musical work, one installation proposal, and-or one paper / workshop proposal. Music formats include fixed media electroacoustic works, compositions for real-time interactive performance, works combining sound and video. Selected works will be presented in one of five spaces: an 8-channel concert hall, a 5.1 surround hall with video, a 4-channel concert hall, a stereo listening room, or a gallery for sound installation.

To be maximally inclusive we would like to give preference to compositions twelve minutes in duration or less.

Papers should be 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for Q & A.

Adjudication is a peer-reviewed double-blind process. More details are available here.

Composers whose work is selected are required to attend the conference.

The submission portal will open September 1st, 2018 and close 11:59 PM PDT, October 1st, 2018. Notifications will be made in early December 2018.

We will have multiple speaker configurations and will do our best to accommodate various routings. Please be prepared to conform to the guidelines as tech. times are very limited.
