Short Bio
Adam Lenz (1988- ) is a composer, artist, and teacher currently based in Connecticut. Adam’s work spans music composition, multimedia art, installation, performance and visual art. His work has been presented in over a dozen countries at venues including The Watermill Center (NY), Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (Germany), Platonov Arts Festival (Russia), Abrons Art Center (NY), Goldsmiths (UK), Print Screen Festival (Israel), Boston University Art Galleries (MA), Mengi Gallery (Iceland), and Teatrul National “Marin Sorescu” (Romania). A frequent collaborator, Adam has worked alongside director Robert Wilson, theater artist Gintare Minelgaite (Dr. GoraParasit), director Baboo Liao (Shakespeare’s Wild Sisters Group), and director Dimitris Papaioannou. Adam holds a BM in Composition and a MA in Music Research from Western Michigan University and an AD in Music Composition from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford. Currently, Adam teaches electronic music composition, sound art, and sound design as a part-time faculty member at the University of Hartford.
